It is difficult to determine exactly what the national cuisine of Canada is. The country has long been dominated by a liberal attitude towards immigrants. They flocked here from all over the world, bringing national features to the culture and, of course, the culinary traditions of Canada. But it is interesting that it is this variety of tastes, cuisines and passions that is perceived as a national feature of this part of North America.
And yet, Toronto’s traditional dishes are meat dishes in which it is amenable to the least processing. For barbecue, steak, barbecue use a variety of meat. Prepare it in small pieces or large. Although lovers of boiled pork, pastes and other delicacies, local chefs will also find something to surprise.
The hallmark of not only Toronto, but throughout Canada is maple syrup - the juice of Canadian sugar maple, extracted in the spring and subsequently condensed.
