Where to Find the Best Sushi in Toronto?

I was very pleased with my sushi dinner at Nami and will definitely go back. While it is true that the prices are a bit on the high side (eg, $5/oyster; $34 for 3 pieces of fatty tuna), you can be selective and still get very high quality sushi for prices that are comparable to most places.
If you're on a tight budget you shouldn't go here, but then again you shouldn't be eating sushi then. Nami is well appointed and you have a choice of either sitting at the sushi or Robata bar or a dinner table in a private room or the public area of the restaurant.
But on the other hand if you want to try very rare sushi (eg, Uni from Hokkaido), this is the place. Only suggestion is that they can use a bit more training in the timing of dishes served. For example, I got my salad first (check), then I was served my sashimi (??), then the tofu appetizer (??), then my oyster appetizer (??), and finally the sushi.

Have been in Sushi Maki House.... I ordered the Tako Yaki and the Blazing roll which were both yummy! I was surprised and happy to see a small scale sushi store with blowtorched sushi. The owner also offered me a nice cup of green tea while waiting for my order! So great Sushi place....
